Have you heard? VA Home Loan Limits Reduced in San Diego Count for 2010.Category: Real Estate | Permalink Published: Thursday, December 10, 2009 Just recently the Veterans Administration announced that the zero down loan limits will be reduced to $437,500 for VA-guaranteed mortgages in San Diego County. Originally the high balanced jumbo VA mortgage started in 2008 and had only allowed for zero down loans up to $697,000. Eventually though, prices declined and so did the VA loan limits. In 2009 they were reduced to $593,750. Throughout 2009 median home prices all through Southern California had stabilized in response to the high balance loan program, foreclosure stays and home buyer tax credits. In San Diego County alone, the median home prices rose from $323,000 in October of 2008 to $325,000 in October of 2009. It has been anticipated that this new VA home loan limit should facilitate in the region of 75% of the sales prices of 2010. The new 2010 VA Loan Limits in Southern California
